Al Pointer Adult - Adoption, Rescue for sale in Wake Forest, North Carolina

$350

His name might be short, but Al is a new farm addition that is long on a lot of wonderful qualities! Clearly a Pointer, Al sports a gorgeous coat that is mostly white with black highlights on his ears and face and freckles smattered about his torso. Al is about 1 to 2 years old and came to us quite underweight but he has been working hard on a daily basis since his arrival to put on a few lbs. He is about 40 lbs. right now and likely needs to gain about another 10 lbs. to fill out and become the sleek pointing machine he was always meant to be. Al shows the signs of a guy who has not had an easy go in life, between being underweight, shy and unsure, he has likely lived on his own without experiencing much kindness from the world. No worries though, just like his weight, Al is working and finding lots of success in learning his surroundings, growing quickly comfortable with all of the love and attention showered on him daily and breaking out of his shy self to move onto the 2.0 version of Al who is ready for suburban life and all the wonderful things it will bring. Al is an active guy who would LOVE to have a nice fenced in backyard to chase birds, squirrels and generally meander about and sometimes kick his pointer instincts into high gear. He has done really well making friends with other dogs but does not seem to require companionship with them in order to be happy and would therefore be able to fly solo. Al is super in his crate and we honestly have not heard a single peep out of him since his arrival. He settles nicely, naps quietly and waits until it is time to go outside to use the loo. Come out ASAP and visit with a guy short on name and long on love.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
